What MatchPlay is

MatchPlay lists tee times from participating courses and shows how the golfers already booked like to play. When you book, the booking is made on the course's own tee sheet. The course provides the round, and its own policies apply: prices, payment, rain checks, dress code, pace of play, and anything else the course decides. MatchPlay doesn't take payments; you pay the course as it asks.

Your account

• You must be 18 or older, and use one account, in your own name.
• Describe your game honestly. Handicaps are on the honor system, and other golfers rely on what you say when they book.
• Keep access to your email secure: it's how you sign in.

Booking

• Each golfer holds their own spot. When you add guests, you're responsible for having their agreement, and for releasing their spots if they can't come.
• You can release a spot on MatchPlay until the course's cancellation cutoff, shown when you book. After that, changes go through the course, and the course's no-show policy applies.
• Groups change. Other golfers may join or leave a tee time after you book, and fit labels are an estimate from what golfers tell us, not a promise about anyone's game.
• Courses can close or delay play, for weather or anything else. We'll pass on what the course posts, but the course decides what happens to your booking.
• Don't book spots you don't intend to use, and don't resell tee times.

Leagues

The course runs each league and sets its format, schedule, and price. MatchPlay suggests teammates whose games fit, and nothing changes until both sides confirm. Confirming a match shares your email with your teammates.

Treat people well

Be respectful to other golfers and course staff, on the site and on the course. Don't harass anyone, misuse another golfer's information, or try to break, overload, or copy the site in bulk. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms.

The demo site

The demo site shows made-up courses and tee times. Booking there doesn't reserve anything real.

Ending your account

You can delete your account at any time from your profile. Our privacy policy explains what happens to your information.

No guarantees

We work to keep MatchPlay accurate and available, but it's provided as is. Tee times, prices, and availability come from each course's tee sheet and can change. To the extent the law allows, MatchPlay isn't responsible for a course's decisions, for weather, or for the conduct of other golfers.

Changes

If we change these terms in a way that matters, we'll update the date at the top and tell you by email or on the site.
